"Throughout the night, we consistently received comments that Ken was "wonderful". He catered to people of every age, was very attentive to timing and our schedules and he was very professional. We loved the specialty dances and everyone at the wedding said they had a blast out on the dance floor! In addition, the uplighting that was provided through Sounds Abound brought an untimely elegance to the room that would not have been achieved without their help. "Sounds Abound made my 50th birthday party a memorable event for all who attended. First of all the room was decked with lighting that set the mood for the entire evening. The Up Lighting was a surprise element that truly set the decor and mood for a fabulous evening.
The photo booth provided another element of fun. My guests had the best time dressing up and the pictures are hilarious keepsakes for both me and the guests. The photo booth was a classy way to add fun and zest to the evening. The DJ and the music added an immeasurable dimension t the entire evening from beginning to end. The DJ really directed the energy of the party. I can compare it to a rollercoaster ride. The music at the beginning of the party was filled with anticipation and the height was almost electric with energy, and the final cool down was so graceful and purposely chosen to ensure that the guests left with great memories that will last far beyond the evening.
All three services made my 50th birthday the most talked about event in my circle of friends. In the last week I have had several friends ask about the DJ, photo booth and the dramatic lighting. Thank you for a spectacular event. I am going on vacation for my 60th as there is nothing that can top my 50th! Thank you!"

"From the first time we met JoAnn at the store through our first meeting with Ken to discuss music, everyone we encountered was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. We were unsure of what music to use and Ken had great suggestions. Many people have approched us to tell us how great the DJ was. "Ken Overbey was the DJ at my daughter's wedding. He and
his assistant, and the sound were terrific. He handled the entire
evening so professionally, and kept the dance floor hopping
all night long. He started out with light music during dinner.
He was a wonderful emcee during the toasts and the first dances,
and from there it just kept getting better. He knew when to
speed things up, when to slow them down, and when to emcee without
taking the spotlight away from the bride and groom. Ken completely
handled the entertainment...all the way to the end when Ken
played Billy Joel's Piano Man--he had the crowed gather around
the bride and groom and they began to sing and sway while the
groom literally swept the bride off her feet. It was breathtaking.
The best compliment, though, was a comment from an 80+ year
old guest who said he has not danced at a wedding in 24 years,
but he just had to get up and dance that night. Now, that says
it all...We were very, very pleased with Sounds Abound and Ken
Overbey and his assistant, and will recommend them to everybody
in the future. Thanks, Ken, for making our party such a success.
