"Sounds Abound was awesome from start to finish! We used Sounds Abound for uplighting (which looked great!) as well as DJ services for our wedding reception in September 2011 at the Westin in Lombard. Also, the Sounds Abound office has a wedding shop with a huge selection of invitations and wedding accessories (toasting flutes, ringbearer pillows, bridal party gifts, etc.), which I definitely visited to purchase some things for my wedding! Jeff was great to work with during the time leading up to our wedding, and he answered all of our questions very promptly via email and telephone. The website is also very easy to use and has a lot of helpful information on it, including video clips of each DJ at actual past weddings, which we thought was great. We chose Tony Ho as our DJ based on the videos, because what we saw was exactly what we wanted at our wedding – a fun, energetic and engaging DJ. We definitely made the right choice with Tony! We had a telephone meeting with him before our wedding where we discussed our music likes/dislikes (we are into dance/club/B96 and KissFM type music, which he said he also liked), and he and the 2nd DJ, Mike, totally hit it on the mark at our reception. We loved every song they played, and our friends (and us!) barely left the dance floor from 9pm to 1am. Even when the reception was over, the lights came on, and they started playing Justin Bieber to let us know it was time to go, we all kept dancing anyway since we were having such an amazing time all night! Tony Ho made our wedding so much fun for us and our guests, and we couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out thanks to Tony Ho and Sounds Abound!"

I know guests put requests in and he listened and played them. He was very approachable and listened to how I wanted the night to go. We were suppose to meet in person before the wedding to go over some details and he was unable to meet due a situation. He was in contact with me about that several times and we spoke over the phone. He provided a calm demeanor and I knew the wedding was in good hands!! I can't say enough about Tony. Everyone had a great time. He even got my new husband to dance, which is not easy!!! "I was more than impressed with Sounds Abound and our DJ Tony Ho. We had such an amazing wedding experience with a good portion of it being due to the fun atmosphere created by your team. Before dinner even started, Tony had 1/2 our guest out of their seat and on the dance floor. People did not leave the dance floor ALL night except when we were told to sit down so we could be served dinner. The wonderful comments we got about your service from our friends and family have not ended. Unfortunately I suffered a knee injury that night on the dance floor, however, Sounds Abound took no time at all to run out and get me a knee brace. I can not thank them enough as this seriously saved the night!!! Tony played a wide variety of music that kept people moving - including my 85 year old grandma. He also continued to play past his allotted time (the crowd continued to chant "one more song!!"). I really could not have expected anything better. In our pre-reception meeting, Tony and I had discussed the use of specialty dances and my opinion was that every reception needs them at some point to get people to stay on the floor...so in that situation, go ahead and use them...but let's keep them to a minimum. In preparing for the wedding we probably had more song suggestions and do not plays than the norm- but Tony was very helpful & worked with us the entire way leading up to the event. He really listened to our choices & also added more selections that kept with our tastes and the different backgrounds of our guests! Even during dinner- I had people come up to us at the head table to tell us HOW AWESOME the music was- in fact I had people keep asking us when the dancing was going to start because they were already excited by the dinner music. "We had Tony Ho as our DJ, and we really had a lot of
fun! He was very energetic, patient, and balanced our requests
with what the guests seemed to want throughout the night. He
got the polka out of the way early, which was good because it
was mainly for my husband's German relatives to enjoy. Even
though we did the online planner, I think it's best to leave
a lot of control with the DJ because he's the one that sees
the demographiic on the dance floor. After the wedding, I realize
that the planner helped Tony to really get a feel for how we
wanted the night to go. I put a good amount of "must play"
songs on the list, but if something wasn't played it's not a
big deal. I would recommend this company to any future brides.
The planner was helpful to organize things without a ton of
emails, and the office staff was professional yet friendly.

"The next time I have to hire a DJ, I will come back to
Sounds Abound and I will recommend the company and Tony Ho to
my friends. When I walked into Blackie's one hour before the party
was to start, Tony Ho and his assistant were standing in place,
behind their table, lights on, ready to go. That was tremendously
reassuring on the worst night of the winter. Tony had come from
a long way away. He had called mid-week and sounded professional.
He said, with sincerity, that he was going to do everything
he could to make the party a success. When I said that we wanted
disco music, he said, "I like disco," which was also
reassuring. He was resourceful, having left messages for me
at work and on my cell. He also contacted Blackie's in advance. The Sounds Abound staff was professional every time I
called. the website was good and the on-line planner was a good
too., and the price was reasonable."

Ho for the service he provided at our wedding reception. He
was absolutely fabulous! He was able to coral all of our groomsmen
and bridesmaids to actually be in the same spot long enough
to be introduced. Tony was able to get young and old alike onto
the dance floor including my 80 year old grandmother and grand
aunts with a polka and also a cha cha slide or 2. He was able
to mix the music that we wanted to be played with music that
every wedding should have. Tony also had to do some work on

toward music was able to come up with intro music for my wife
and myself 15 minutes prior to our introduction. Through it
